Tash is the woman behind the #TeamTashTraining movement. She’s a mother of two who has battled through her own insecurities and health issues. After regaining some of her confidence and self-belief she began studying as a personal trainer via distance learning and in 2014 started working at Les Mills. In 2015 Tash ran her first free, women-only bootcamp as a way to give back to the community. The bootcamp was a huge success and by 2016 she was running four bootcamps, but was limited by space and facilities. That’s when she found the perfect premises. In 2017 Tash opened her own women’s group fitness studio - #TeamTashTraining studio - with two specific goals: to have a genuine impact on as many women as possible and to bring back the personal in group fitness settings. Known and respected for her exceptional service, smart and creative programming, and genuine care for all of the #teamtash members, Tash is dedicated to encouraging women to be their best in an environment that is unique, diverse, and judgment-free.

A Note From Tash:

"I was tired, overweight and embarrassed to even go out - I had no confidence or self-belief and I knew I needed to change this. I joined Les Mills in Dunedin and started on my journey to finding myself again. I had no idea it would lead me to where I am today.  Within a month I had 40 weekly clients and I quickly learned what I was best at and who I like to train - this of course was other women. I felt like being able to relate to their own personal struggles made me a better, more supportive trainer. This has been nationally recognised: in 2020 #TeamTashTraining studio was one of only five finalists for Exercise New Zealand’s Studio of the Year. Ka pai, wahine toa! I could not do this without my clients support and truly from the bottom of my heart I thank you for coming on this journey with me. I still have big plans and I can’t wait to see them unfold.”
